“He was talking to this woman I’d never seen before, they were coming back from grabbing coffee I guess.” Melinda continues to recount and Olivia can feel Amanda’s eyes on her, watching for Olivia’s reactions. She tries to play it cool. She does.
She nearly fails.
“They must have just only had time for coffee because the woman squeezes his arm, smiles at him, like he needs the ego boost, tells him he’s a good man, and walks off. Then he proceeds to look at something on his phone, grinning like an idiot the whole way back inside.”
“I didn’t realize Stabler was dating,” Amanda says from her right.
Olivia’s grip on her wine glass has only tightened.

He missed the smell of her, he missed the husky sound of her voice, he missed the freckles on the insides of her thighs, and the way her hair was a wild mess when she first woke up.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t thinking about those things when he walked into her apartment after getting held up at OCCB until almost 10:00PM discussing the logistics of an upstate operation. Maybe if he had been thinking about her, he would have remembered the rule about no shoes in the apartment.

One thing 26x19 confirmed for me, is that Elliot and Olivia have definitely been communicating, most likely ever since he returned from his UC stint for OC 4x1 (maybe even before that, I mean, he did give her that compass before he dipset). I imagine it started with texts here and there. Then the texts became more frequent. It eventually progressed to a few late-night phone calls and by 26x19, it’s possible they’ve had a few secret rendezvous.
But, I can only imagine what those text threads have looked like. 😉
May keep this ongoing, as the current seasons of SVU & OC progress.

Missing scene from L&O 25x9 / SVU 27x9 Crossover
She knew Elliot would hear the true horror of the moment in her voice when she called, ostensibly to ask for OC's help in their unfolding human trafficking case, but truly because she just wanted to hear his voice amidst the multiple disasters surrounding her. She wasn't sure what he would do after he listened to her message, but she was less than surprised when he met her outside the ER doors.
His presence turns out to be fortuitous as she navigates her own injuries, ignored in light of what had happened to Bruno...but can she finally let go and let him take care of her?
