    Summary

From death's cold grip, a shadow wakes,
A name returns, a bond remakes.
Lost years fade in silent light,
A broken past seeks new daylight.

Regulus Black has risen from the shadows of death, drawn back to the world by an unshakable pull towards his son-his boy. James-the man who held his heart-is gone, but whether by death or disappearance. Alone and lost, Regulus finds Harry —his son— still alive—small, shaking, and locked away like something shameful. The moment Harry looked up and whispered “Papa?”, the world shattered. Regulus fell to his knees, gathering his child into his arms, holding him like he’d never let go again.

Odysseus, King of Ithaca, Warrior of Wit and Conqueror of Troy, has finally returned home. After decades of thinking only of his need to return home, he never stopped to imagine what returning home would actually mean. Penelope, Queen of Ithaca, Silent Ruler and Keeper of the Throne, finally has her husband back. But her happiness can't blind her from the cracks in her husband's brave exterior, nor does it mend the cracks in her own. Telemachus, Prince of Ithaca, Devout of Ithaca and Protector of the Throne, can finally put a face to the name that had been spoken to him for decades. All he has ever wanted was his family under one roof, but he never imagined he would have to be the one to pull them closer to each other again.

With Ithaca falling into ruin and the palace stained with the crimes of the suitors, the family stares down the final enemies ahead of them. And yet they are terribly unaware that the hardest battle to come will be with the monsters lurking deep within them all. But whose demons will be the ones to break the family first?

    Summary

Eurylochus’ face looms over him as he looks up, trying to push himself from the ground. His brother-in-law’s expression is one he’s seen many times before; he has just never been on the receiving end of it.

Odysseus’ body seems too heavy for him to even stand, every time he tries to move, he is met with all-consuming pain and his lungs feel ready to collapse. He tries to speak, to plead, but all that comes out of his throat is a pathetic croak.

“You are a twisted man, Odysseus. We were all just too trusting to see it.” Eurylochus’ words are sharp and biting, but they are true.

Odysseus is twisted. He is sick and evil. He is a monster.

”You will go down in history just the same as Hector. Your legacy will be one of selfishness and cruelty. The people will know you as a liar and a whore. It is all you will ever be.” Eurylochus raises a foot and brings it down hard on Odysseus’ chest.

He gasps and coughs, but somehow finds his voice, “They will not know you.”

Eurylochus shouts as he raises his sword, and the last thing Odysseus sees is the blade headed for his jugular.
