He has a plan. And it’ll work. It has too.
Because he can’t remember what happens after. Patrick dies, and there’s… water? A lake? But why is Patrick at a lake in the dark? He isn’t, is the thing. It’s like there are two memories overlapping in Steve’s mind and he doesn’t know which is real. Or if either of them are.
There’s a memory of… of Eddie? Eddie talking about Patrick floating but there’s also a memory of hearing it on the news, Patrick found dead in his room, murdered the same way as Chrissy and Fred with no sign of forced entry in his house. Both memories feel real, but Steve doesn’t know, can’t tell, which is.Steve has lived through the apocalypse and also, he prevented the apocalypse.

Summary
Steve has always had ridiculously good luck. All he has to do is follow his gut. Robin tells him she thinks he’s somehow predicting the future, but Steve’s not convinced. However, by following his gut, Steve is all but forced to agree. This sets off a chain of events as Steve learns how to truly listen to and control his ability to predict the future, starting with his blooming crush on Eddie Munson, which is not helped by sharing his home with him.

Summary
A season four re-write, sorta.
Steve's consciousness is put back into his body when he's still in his senior year of high school, sometime between fighting the Demogorgon with Jonathan and Nancy but before trying to help Dustin find his lost Demodog. Understanding the second chance he's been given, he works on changing the future, starting with Eddie Munson and making sure he graduates.

"Alright, so like... what should we do? How do we like... investigate a murder?"
"Considering this is my first time getting murdered, I say... research."
Steve needs a new car and stumbles upon a beautiful, cherry red 1967 Chevy Impala. The dealer says it's not for sale, but Steve uses some of that signature Harrington charm to talk him into it. Sweet new ride, what could go wrong?
Then the lights start flickering. The radio comes on by itself, playing God-awful music even with the volume turned down. When the car starts speaking to him, Steve worries he's going crazy.
With help from his friends, Steve begins to investigate what, or who, is possessing his car and find out the truth about what happened.
Robin wants to hold a séance; the voice wants revenge.
Steve just wants a car that isn't going to talk back.

It's Halloween and Eddie Munson is having a fucking awful night.
He knows monsters are real and they usually go out to play on Halloween night, but Eddie reaches a dead-end that night. Between going home empty-handed and trying to let loose a little at a Halloween party Eddie surprises himself with the latter. He just didn't think he'd meet someone like Steve Harrington.
He has no idea what he's getting himself into and still, feels like he'd follow Steve wherever he went. And that's exactly what he does.
Or: Eddie is a monster Hunter and Steve Harrington is a Werewolf. They have a meet-cute at a Halloween party. What could possibly go wrong?

Steve isn't so sure. “I’m afraid of what it will cost her,” He finally says.
“Nothing,” Eddie shrugs. “We’ll make sure of it. I promise.” He says it so casually, but there’s a dark tone to it, protective colors that rarely break free from Eddie. It’s not just a promise. It’s a threat.
And Steve, who has walked across this country and back with an axe in his pack and a gun slung over his shoulder, knows threats like the back of his hand. And that, for him, is enough.
