In pre-history, when alphas and omegas were more common than betas, a sexually mature omega in the presence of an advantageous mate would urinate, marking an area as their own and advertising their availability via scent. In Bakugou and Kirishima’s third year at UA, that kind of thing isn’t really done anymore, but Kirishima’s adoptive parents are both betas, so he never got properly trained out of it. His body still thinks it has to advertise his availability to a certain eligible alpha.
