Summary
Steve had been in his routine, in his head, when it happened. It was an accident, a simple mistake. It shouldn't have caused the reaction it did. Just a slip of the hand, fingers going from grasping wet glass to air and a loud clattering sound.
Steve snapped back to reality and looked down to see broken glass littering the floor. His eyes widened and he could feel his breathing speed up, and he tried to calm down, he really tried, but he couldn’t, because he just broke one of Joyce’s cups and she was going to be so disappointed, she would kick him out and Hopper would be angry and maybe he would hit him just like-
OR
Steve Harrington breaks a cup at the Byers-Hopper house.

Summary
Steve was four when his parents started leaving him home, while going on business trips. They did, however, hire a full time nanny to keep watch on him.
Rosá was a lovely lady. She bathed him, fed him, read to him and cuddled him when he had nightmares. She quickly became Steve's surrogate mother.
Rosá was a smart and strong woman. And it was Rosá that gifted Steve his favorite plushie. 'A león for her little león' she said.
And from then on the lion plushie was always by Steve's side.
Or
Steve's plushie rips and in a desperate attempt to fix him, he finds himself at none other than Eddie Munson's doorstep.Bookmarked by aleeshawill

Summary
“Oh,” Steve says. Then again, “oh,” a little quieter. His expression changes; from confusion to something pained almost. “Mr Munson, I don’t…” he takes a deep breath, his voice a little shaky as he continues. “I don’t think he…I don’t think he likes me like that.”
He doesn’t say “it’s not like that.” Neither does he say “I’m not like that.”
That’s the first thing Wayne notices.

Summary
And Wayne liked the rest of Eddie’s friends, but he still got the bubbling anger at Steve Harrington. Even after months of dealing with the boy, he still couldn’t get over the fact that he had been one of the kids to make Eddie’s life hell in high school, and he was not going to forgive him for that.
Things changed one night, when he heard a knock at the door. Eddie asked him to get it, because he was busy painting his little toys for his game, and so he did, and was met with Steve Harrington, tears running down his face and mixing with blood that covered him, purple bruises blooming over tanned skin. Steve flinched at the mere sight of the man, and Wayne realized that maybe he had been wrong all along, because Steve Harrington was different, wasn’t he?
OR
Wayne Munson realizes that maybe Steve Harrington isn't as bad as he thought.
