Summary
In the crappy movies Jinx insists on watching, he watches friends make the mistake they’re making. And he thinks it’s stupid, how it affects them, the way these movies portray. How the dramatic flares, and the angry confessions under angrier rains only make him laugh, hands slapping down his knees in disbelief, for their relationship was as unaffected as could be by the activities they engaged in.
It takes him a minute, maybe a few, but it has gotten to a point where he can no longer escape it. Ekko wanted Jinx. He looked for her in every person he met, desperate and nitpicky. They were never half of her.
The realization was hard, a quick blow to the gut, sharp and unforgiving, leaving a bruise he didn’t know how to tend to. A bruise that remained tender no matter how much time had passed. And every interaction with Jinx became a cruel finger, pushing down on his never-healing wound.

Well. Of all the girls in the world who have faked their own deaths, she must be an especially lucky one, because, even if she has to scoot on her ass through an air duct to get there, she knows exactly where she’s going.
Or, a season two post-finale timebomb fix-it, wherein some very important conversations are finally had and some very long-term pining is finally resolved.

“But you knew when you kissed him,” Ekko says quickly. Powder shakes her head, slipping off his lap to put some distance between them.
“I didn’t know–I had my suspicions,” she says defensively. “I only knew for certain when I saw the other Ekko in his own body.”
“Well, now you do know, so what does that mean for you?” he stares at her expectantly. “Do you love him?” Ekko asks bluntly, and Powder can only sit there hopelessly, trying to understand why he's upset.
Or, Powder and Ekko have an innovators competition to attend while navigating the consequences of Ekko’s alternate self paying them a visit.
