Summary
The memory of Lothlórien stays with the Fellowship.
If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a movable feast.
– Ernest Hemingway, to a friend, 1950; epigraph on title page of A Movable Feast

Summary
What if Boromir had succeeded in taking the Ring?
Meditations on ruin and reclamation, grief and penance, unbounded love and unendurable forgiveness.
He had thought to take the Ring directly to Minas Tirith and to his father. But chance – or a terrible providence – led him first to his brother.

Summary
Faramir revisits the Steward’s chess board, and mourns his family.
Faramir turns his gaze to the board – for just a moment, the chair is not empty; the pyre is not burnt; he is not the last living member of the House of Húrin, alone in all of Middle-earth.

Summary
The knife pushes thin along Dick’s carotid artery, cupping the indent between neck and jawline—forcing him to angle his chin. The metal is warm, pulled with execution speed from under Damian’s pillow.
“Okay,” Dick says quietly, tracking the intricacies of his own heartbeat—counting the space between breaths. “Guess I did need a shave.”
(With faltering steps, Dick and Damian become Batman and Robin.)

Summary
Later, it will be obvious that something was wrong.
When Karen and Foggy look back, they won’t quite be able to pinpoint the moment where it all started.
Karen thinks it seems to have begun in the liminal time after his resurrection, before Matt reclaimed his life. Those dark, cold days spent wasting away in a church basement – or maybe even before that, the night he spent bleeding out on a beach.
More likely, Foggy thinks – it started a long time ago, and it just got worse after Midland Circle. It’s hard to be positive.
They’re both right, in their ways. Regardless, whatever it is- it goes unnoticed for far too long.
It’s almost too late by the time they realize that the thing coming to work in Matt’s body is not Matt.
Or: Matt survives Midland circle, and Elektra does not. Her ghost has a problem with that.
NOTE: This story features some heavy topics. Please use discretion and take care of yourself- I will not be offended if you skip this!

Summary
It's the late 80s, and Bran Davies is more perturbed than he ought to be by the news that Mrs. Evans' youngest nephew, an English boy he used to play with as a kid, like himself now grown to young adulthood - and who he can't seem to remember, no matter how hard he tries - has gone missing from his home in Buckinghamshire.

Summary
Ever since she’d been small, Hermione’s reward for good marks had been a rampage through a bookshop, so the day she tore open her O.W.L.s results and triumphantly brandished the eleven Outstandings, her beaming mother said, “We’ll go to Foyles tomorrow,” without any discussion required.
