Summary
NOW: Mac has been found and rescued after a sudden kidnapping that left Jack and the rest of DXS scrambling for answers. The answers, which lie in Jack's own past, serve only to make him feel more and more guilty for what's happened. The trouble is, with Mac barely coherent, there's no real way to know what actually did happen to him. And why he's having such a strange reaction to Jack.
THEN: Mac has been in this situation before, except for all the ways he hasn't. The kidnapping, the drugging, the pain, been there, done that. The way they're ignoring him, though? The way his abductors seem to have deemed him secondary to his own kidnapping? That's harder to understand. Especially when Mac starts overhearing things - things that only seem to confirm some of his own worst fears.

Mac had played through Jack and Bozer's meeting in his head countless times, countless ways since Jack had announced his plan to glue himself to Mac’s side when they were discharged, and he still had no idea how it would go down.
In any case, whatever he had, or had not been expecting, Jack and Bozer ganging up on him was not it.
Although, in retrospect, it probably should have been.
Or, a peek into Mac and Jack's first Christmas as newly-minted civilians.

Summary
Around S4 episodes 9 and 10. Turns out emotional trauma + concussions + experimental drugs don’t mix quite as easily as one might think. Mac’s dark side does more than toss him a creepy grin from the other side of a window when getting “lost in his head” is taken up a notch. And the only thing that is going to save him is the team coming together as a family-the whole team.
