"No, baby, no, I can fix this, I can do better, just give me one more chance," he begged it, ignoring Hermann's baffled, "Pardon?" in his ear. He grabbed frantically at the tongs, fumbling them, realized he probably couldn't fix this situation one-handed, and said to Hermann, "Gotta go, important work to be done."
"Newton, I swear to you, do not hang up this phone, follow my instructions—"
"No time, man, science is happening," he said, and then without thought tacked on, "Bye, love you," and threw the phone in what was likely the direction of his desk, not bothering to end the call. Hermann probably kept talking, but hello, science.

"It's not an exchange of power; it's just about how it feels. Endorphins. What are you doing?" Fingers clenching around the hilt of the blade, Eduardo bit his lip, stilling in his descent toward Mark's stomach. He hadn't led with the knife, not like he should have. It had looked like he'd been about to press his lips above Mark's waistband. Mark fidgeted.
"Nothing," said Eduardo. "Don't I have the power if I have the knife?"
"Don't be stupid," said Mark, rolling his eyes.

If Satomi were a romantic, he'd have made Kyouji learn how to do it. Luckily he isn't crazy, which is why he's sitting here, in an actual tattoo parlour.
"How're you doing, Satomi-kun?" Kyouji asks.
Satomi rolls his eyes. "You're the one who looks like he's going to pass out."
It's true. Kyouji is holding Satomi's other hand like he's the one who needs the support, thumb rubbing back and forth across the knuckles. His eyes are fixed on Satomi's right forearm, where the strokes of Kyouji's name are taking shape beneath the artist's efficient hands.
Or, Satomi gets a tattoo. Kyouji has a lot of feelings.

Summary
Satomi hadn’t even managed to cross the ticketing gates yet, but he had stopped in his tracks as he couldn’t believe what he was seeing with his eyes. Maybe it was just plain sleep deprivation, or he was in need of a much-needed adjustment for his glasses. However, unfortunately, he had known that tall, intimidating figure anywhere. He watched as Kyouji Narita shamelessly walked across the bustling station with his arm easily draped around the arms of a much younger boy.
A million thoughts suddenly raced through Satomi’s head, in an effort to explain what he was seeing. Maybe Kyouji managed to knock up some poor woman years ago; it wasn’t that uncommon with his line of work after all. Or maybe he needed help from another choir boy with his singing skills. Sure, Satomi hasn’t been in choir in years, but he could still give out some helpful pointers. He doesn’t know what’s the worse option: that boy being Kyouji’s secret son or just another young boy that managed to catch Kyouji’s fancy.
He wondered if God’s humor must be fucked up for revealing this sight to Satomi, just a few days after he had finally come to terms with his feelings for the older Yakuza.
