Summary
“I need you to drive me to the dentist.”
“Okay, yeah,” Buck agrees. “Put it in the calendar.”
“No,” Eddie says, clearing his throat. He sucks in a breath through his nose and lets it out through his mouth. “I need you to drive me, and I need you to stay, or I will climb out the restroom window.”
Or, Eddie is scared of the dentist. That's one secret. The other is in his sock drawer.

Summary
“You still down for dinner though? I can get us some beers. I mean I was going to make this low sodium cod but Hen’s not coming so maybe I could do a miso glaze or—”
Eddie doesn’t know what compels him but the words fall out of his mouth before he can catch them. “Can we dance?” He asks, softly, almost like a whisper. He really needs to dance. He feels restless. He’s worried about Hen, he’s worried about his feelings towards Buck, he’s pretty sure Chris made friends with the high school stoner so he’s worried about that, and on top of it all, his car is showing the check engine light so that’s just another thing on his plate. He needs to just put all his attention to dancing.
“What?”
“I mean,” he sputters. God, this is embarrassing. He is a fully grown man feeling like he’s on the brink of a panic attack if he doesn’t dance. “No it’s okay, um- miso cod sounds great.”
Buck cracks a small smile. “You want to dance?”

Summary
“Do you ever feel… feel like you’re empty?” He pauses, watching for a reaction from Buck, but he doesn’t get one. “Like, all you need, all you want is to be as close to one person as you possibly can? Like that’s the only thing that could fill you. Fix you.”
It’s too revealing. Any second, Buck is going to laugh in his face or awkwardly scoot back. He’ll take his beautiful hand away and pack a bag and go stay at Maddie’s for the night. Then slowly, so slowly that if Eddie were normal he probably wouldn’t notice it, Buck will start to pull away from him.
He waits. He waits for his future.
“Yes. Always.” Is what spills out of Buck’s mouth instead.

Summary
Buck is about to walk out of the airport. He can’t do this. He won’t. But then a hand—a big, warm hand—settles on his shoulder.
“Hey, uh—”
Buck turns, and standing there is the most beautiful man Buck’s seen in his entire life. A week’s worth of stubble across his jaw and cheek, a strong nose, and the deepest, prettiest brown eyes he’s ever seen, framed by mile-long lashes. Buck’s breath catches. Buck’s not into men, but holy shit, if he was—he’d be into this guy.
Well. He is kinda into this guy. Well. That’s—
“I’m here with my kid,” the guy continues, throwing a thumb over his shoulder and pointing toward where a blonde-haired, smiling kid with red glasses and crutches is standing. The kid lifts a hand and waves. Okay. Even if Buck is into the guy—kid usually means wife. Damn. “He’s got CP. We’ve done this song and dance a thousand times. You want a hand?”
“Sir,” the man cuts in, “this is a private discussion—”
Buck, who really was trying not to cry before, feels like he’s fighting a losing battle now. His eyes are a little wet, and his hands, gripping his crutches, are shaking just a little. “Fuck. Yeah. Please.”
