Summary
"Bill was a lot of things. Malevolent, funny, intelligent.
Dead, for the most part.
What he wasn’t, was a damn coward. Death may have kicked his ass in the past, but he wasn’t taking that lying down. Sure, maybe he spent most of his days throwing furniture at the walls and terrorizing some mice, but the important thing was that he was staying calm."
or, bill cipher is a ghost under indefinite house arrest. he is not handling it well.

Summary
ten minutes ago, just downstairs, light had blurted out that a month or so prior there had been a day on which ryuzaki had forgotten to shave, and that the memory of his scruff sometimes popped into light's head at night now that he was sleeping alone again. a resounding silence had followed in which light’s stomach tried to digest itself.

for four hours a day, every day, light yagami can't lie.

Summary
Akechi's fingers brush the back of her neck, unevenly exposed. Her shock crackles into disbelief, then rage, then a pleasant distance that makes Ren’s teeth tingle.
“Amamiya-san,” she starts, tone friendly and expression cold as ice, “what did you just do?”
Due to a mishap in Mementos, Akechi gets a major haircut.

Summary
“So I’m to be bait,” Akechi says flatly. “You’re serving me up.”
Ren can feel the grin on his face, and he can’t stop it. “I gotta open the store tomorrow, I only serve coffee.”
“Absolutely idiotic. Why would I agree to that?"
Ren shrugs one shoulder and leans back against the movie theater wall, smiling. He’s feeling light on his feet right now. It’s been a bad day, but the end is nice. “Call it penance.”
“Penance for what,” Akechi says.
His smile stays where it is as he glances away for a moment, then meets Akechi’s eyes again. “Being yourself.”

Summer vacation back in Tokyo was supposed to be two things: an exciting break from the mundanity of home, and a chance to see people he's missed so much it hurts. If he survives, Ren has good news for himself on both.

Summary
Dess signs, after a few faltering starts, “Asriel called me.”
“Huh?” Kris blinks, watching as Dess repeats the signs. “Oh. Uh. That’s cool.”
Dess shrugs. It has started to pace in the center of their room, to their window, their door, a straight-line loop. They catch her signs as she passes them, a start-and-stop. “His roommate. Went on a vacation for a few weeks. And Asriel—offered. For me to stay with him. Until the roommate is back.”
Kris—
Freezes. Like, full-body, the chill races up their spine and every bit of them goes rigid. Asriel is far, far, everyone is far, too-far, but Dess—Dess has stayed right in Hometown with them from the start, the only one of them who didn’t belong anywhere, even with the end of the world, even with Light and Dark cracked open, no boundaries between the two anymore. She was supposed to turn back into the girl she was before she left, but it never, ever did.
Kris was supposed to be a human.
(Or: Everyone else is moving on. Why can't Kris?)
