Summary
In the wake of his family's death before the American Revolution, Thomas Jefferson drowns his grief in work and believes that all he is good for now is feuding with Alexander and trying to create a new nation with Washington. That is, until seven-year-old Philip Hamilton walks into his office and forms an unlikely friendship with Thomas. When the events of the French Revolution pull Thomas back into France, he begins to wonder if he has a second chance at life, love, and maybe even a found sort of fatherhood in the form of his political enemy's son.
My sister (@nataliasromanoff) and I wrote this five years ago when the Hamilton movie released on Disney+, and this story is all I can think of when I rewatch it. Please be kind, don't knock it 'til you try it, and I hope you enjoy!! Philip and Thomas are so important to me, and I hope they come to mean the same to you :) this story is fully written, so it's only a matter of posting on a regular basis!!

Cherri stretched as she left the bar, stuffing her phone back in her sweatpants pocket, following the light coming from the mantle back to the stairs.

Light from the mantle?
Cherri looked up, her tired eye searching for the mantle, looking for this mystery light source, until she finally found it. Her eyebrows raised as she took in what she was seeing, and she briefly wondered if it was a hallucination from either lack of sleep, bad booze, or both.
Curled up on the mantle by Pentious's grand portrait, was Baxter.
OR
Cherri can’t sleep and decides to go down to the bar, and ends up finding Baxter sitting by Sir Pentious’s portrait. They end up having a heart to heart over having loved and lost the same man.
