Summary
The 100-year-war started because Sozin took advantage of his best friend's death and raged a war against the whole world. If Roku had survived that night surely none of that would have happened.
Right?
In this world, Roku lived for six more years before dying peacefully in his sleep. Sozin still decides to take advantage of his death and still targets the air nomads to find the next avatar. But in this world the avatar isn't a goofy 12-year-old master airbender but a little six-year-old kid who doesn't know much outside the monks that raised him.
When Gyatso bursts into his room in the middle of the night and tells him that they're leaving the temple for a while little Aang is very confused and scared
And 95 years later, a young banished prince comes across a damaged forest and he's drawn inside by an unknown force.
