The girl stopped for a few seconds and looked around the chair to face her, as if she was trying to decide something. The girl’s lips tightened, and Caitlyn had a sudden realization that hit her like a collapsing wall. She had seen this face before, at the platform where they fought the firelights and the bridge on an older woman.
“Jinx??”
“My name is Powder, I’m thirteen years old and I’m here to rescue you...” the girl said. “That... Thing... Isn't a Jinx, not really... My Jinx is going to try to get to Vi before it does.” and returned to her task.
Powder popped back around the chair. “Oh, and you can call me Gremlin!"

“Names Vi, though for the last several years, I’ve been Inmate 516. I’ve made mistakes, some stupid kid stuff and some… unforgivable. Vander taught me to punch and protect those close to me. Stillwater taught me how to survive.
I was good at surviving that hellhole, until an Enforcer got handsy and I tuned him up a little too good. During my impromptu execution for ripping a guard’s face off, I got the beating of my life and tossed off one of the turrets the morning the Mind Flayer ship decided to look for fresh meat on Runeterra. You could hear the sirens all the way from Piltover.
Next thing I know I wake up in their ship with a mind flayer tadpole in my head that will turn me into a Bilgewater squid if I don’t get it out. Now, I’m on strange world with elves and dwarves, where assholes shoot magic darts from their fingers and people turn into bears.. Fucking Bears!
It’s fine.. It’s fine. I’ve got a job to do, and if I live through all this, I can go back to Runeterra. If I have to beg, cheat, steal… or Kill, I’ll do it cuz I’ve got some debts to pay and there’s people who have shit coming to them.”

“Powder...” Penny started, keeping her voice even and calm. “You’re here early. Is there-?”
“Can it, Copper Top..” Powder snarled. “I ain’t in the mood and I don’t have time for chitty chat.” her attention drifts across the room, and her eyes narrow menacingly. “I don’t need your opinion, so SHUT UP!” and looked to her right, and down at the ground. She closed her eyes a moment before speaking again. “Sorry about the Copper Top rip, Doc...” and dipped her pistol down. Penny kept her hands in front of her, careful not to make any sudden moves that could frighten the girl.
“What don’t you have time for?” Penny said and took a half step forward. “I'd like to help you if I can.”
The gun hones in on her again. “Easy Doc...”
The shock sent Penny’s glasses sliding down her nose. With a frustrated grunt, she pushed them back up again.
“I don’t think you’re going to shoot me, Powder...”
“Jinx...” She said... “Names Jinx, not Powder...” she insisted.

Summary
The Facility has been keeping the Void's advance through the Runeterran Multiverse at bay for decades.
The Void had broken through the thinning membranes that separates the alternate worlds, called branches and will not stop until the entire multiverse has become the Void.
At one time the Facility was operated by hundreds of Runeterrans, but a great calamity destroyed most of the operation, forcing the Hex cores that operate the Facility to rebuild from scratch, save the few rooms that survived. Now operated by Drones and Golems working the Day-to-Day operations, the Facility needs troubleshooters to go into the field and in investigate threats. The Facility chooses, and reincarnates the person back to life, stitching consciousness and spirit back to the new body. A gauntlet called an Anchor connects the newly reincarnated Troubleshooter allowing them access to certain abilities powered by Hex Tech. The Facility uses its vast database of knowledge to find its troubleshooters, waiting until their demise to bring them into service.
Currently, only one person is in their database.

He said, listing his grievances with his fingers, "You want your revolution, I want to ensure we can pass something better to our children."
At that, the Eye of Zaun raised an inquisitive eyebrow, "So how to do you propose we do that?" He asked, taking a sip of his whiskey.
"We're both smart men, we'll figure something out."
