Xue Yang glances over at Xingchen as he hangs his coat in the hall closet—because Song Lan loses his shit when Xue Yang just drapes it over a chair. Xingchen’s smiling at him, a little sheepishly, holding a bouquet of fucking flowers, nothing too fancy but they’re pretty and they make something in Xue Yang’s gut twist a bit. “What are those for?” he asks.
“They’re for you, of course.” Xingchen gives him a soft smile, then comes in closer. Winds his arms around Xue Yang’s neck, a bit of the plastic scraping Xue Yang’s skin. “I was at the store and I saw them and I thought of you.
