Kyle had started to feel really good. He just felt so…happy. He wasn’t self conscious in the slightest, despite being in the center of hundreds of people. Even when he did glance around, everyone was too busy enjoying themselves to pay him any mind. In fact, not only did he feel secure, he felt…confident. Sure of himself. He felt proud that he’d tried something new, that he was on a successful path in life and still managing to take the time to do fun things and enjoy his youth. Kyle Broflovski loved himself.
Still smiling but no longer laughing, Kyle glanced over to Cartman. He was still smiling too, and it looked like a genuine smile. They made eye contact, and Kyle didn’t let his smile drop.
“It’s weirding me out that I don’t hate the sight of you right now.”

Summary
The other issue with the parties, Kyle finds, is that they’re often just too goddamn boring. They’re all the same formula. People get drunk, they pull out the games, people hook up, pass out, and then it’s all over social media. And it’s not like the people who hook up with each other ever change it up, no, it’s always the same damn couples. Stan and Wendy are notorious for this. Others include Clyde and Bebe, and Tweek and Kenny. It’s predictable, like reading the final page of the book when you’re really only halfway through.
Perhaps that’s why Kyle is smoking tonight. Usually he only indulges in some drinks, but being plagued by the impending predictability of the evening caused him to want to do something different. He also usually doesn’t escape this far, only going just outside onto the deck or against the side of the house.
It is peaceful, though.
He hears the crunching of twigs and leaves.
Well, it was good while it lasted.
(In which Kyle is tired of the same, old, formulaic, day-to-day shit, and Eric has to remind him that he's the one behind the wheel)

“Light— wait," L choked out, "wait.”
“Want to grind against you,” Light said, his eyelashes fluttering and his hands gripping and his lips pouting. L felt his face heat redder than ever, felt the way his body reacted to those words, but his mind was starting to come back online and he pulled his hand back from where it tangled in Light’s hair.
He exhaled slowly, looking away for a moment to avoid the temptation of Light’s face. Even if he wasn’t Kira (improbable), he certainly had some godlike qualities— primarily, his pretty face and silver tongue. “You’re too drunk. It’s not right.”
“I want to kiss you,” Light countered, enunciating his words extra carefully in an attempt to seem less drunk. It wasn’t working. One of his thumbs moved to brush over L’s lips, pressing against them for a second, then pulled his bottom lip down to reveal teeth and gums. “I think kiss. I think we should kiss. What about that?”
Silver tongue indeed.
