Summary
“House!” She calls loudly after there’s no answer. “I know you’re in there.”
It takes several rounds of louder and louder knocking for House to call back. “I’m busy!”
“I don’t care!” Cuddy yells. She doesn’t even know if she believes it that he is busy, for all she knows he’s been expecting her since he took her laptop.
Abruptly, the door is pulled open. Just a few inches, so that House can poke his head out. “Something I can help you with?” He asks breathlessly.
Cuddy’s too tired for this shit, it’s been a long day of travel and business dinners and all she wants is to get this over with so she can go to bed. She slams into the door, forcing House to step back and open it further.
She blinks when she can see more than just his head. A lot more.

Summary
“Leave the dishes,” Eddie says, before Buck can even reach for the plates. “It’ll be too loud. I’m exhausted, let’s just go to bed.”
“Uh, sure, I’ll just…” Buck jerks his thumb over his shoulder toward the living room, but Eddie is shaking his head.
“Could you…I don’t want to be alone right now. Can we just…just for tonight,” Eddie stammers, and Buck can’t tell if the pain is clouding his mind or if Eddie is just that bad at asking for what he wants, but he takes pity on him and nods.
“Of course," he says softly. "Whatever you need."
(or, in the aftermath of the shooting, Buck and Eddie find comfort in each other)
