By the time they stumble up to their room, they’re both giggling. Polnareff grabs the small makeup mirror from the bathroom and then pulls Avdol onto one of the beds with him. He dumps their plastic grocery bag out on the sheets. With a clatter comes the children’s eyeshadow, the lipsticks, and a small box of locally-made chocolates Polnareff insisted on buying.
He picks up the eyeshadow palette and opens the lid. “Here,” he says, holding it up in front of Avdol. “Pick a color for me.”
avdol and polnareff go out for dinner, buy things they don't need, play with makeup, and kiss!
