Maya goddamn Fey. Was Franziska unable to think of anything without it leading back to her? It was bad enough that she was here, hiding in her brother’s spare room, without her stomach dropping at the idea of never seeing Maya again.
Franziska wanted– She wanted too many things. A world where she could drop what it meant to be a von Karma without anyone noticing or caring or thinking that she’d fallen short. And, in the same world, for Maya to love her. Absurd.
If she wanted to see Maya again, Franziska didn’t know where to start. She had no means of contacting her; didn’t know if Maya was staying in the city or had returned to her hometown. A silly crush that had next to no chance of even becoming a friendship shouldn’t feel like it carried such life-ruining importance.The events of Bridge to the Turnabout force Franziska to contend with the fact that she never wanted to become her father's successor. If she ever wants to escape his shadow, she needs to decide what to do next.
