The Queen in the North works hard to instigate counter-measures, to try and prove the innocence of the accused. To weed out the liars, to expose them and their game to all. But this will take time. In the meantime, a new sound rings out across Winterfell as she tries to make amends for the unsatisfactory conditions of the exiled one.

Sansa looks like a princess from a story; Tommen just gapes at the sight of her. Her ivory gown seems to glow through the light of those crystal windows he always found so pretty, and she’s wearing a grown woman’s skirts and bodice, not a little girl’s. Suddenly he feels even more a baby, cheeks stained apple red, averting his gaze in near shame until Mother jerks sharply on his arm and forces him to look back up again, at the waiting crowd filling the pews of the sept. The only thing that makes him feel any better is that her cloak seems just as big on her as his does on him. As though they were just playing a game. Cella and him used to dress up and play games, although they never pretended to be husband and wife. But maybe if he can pretend it is not real, and just a fancy, he will feel better.
(In which Sansa is wed to Tommen, not Tyrion).

All run from the Stranger and Ramsay and his dogs. Fleeing North. Fleeing from the brutal jaws of death, but towards the unknown of themselves. Fleeing from the Stranger's cold grasp but, towards their warmer ones, as they run and stumble and flee and fight together. Reaching safety and something else that lies away from the ice cold Wall.

Davos of Flea Bottom was perhaps not much to look at, but his strange sad face, the way his hair was just long enough to be tied back, his easy way of carrying himself even in the face of imminent danger, the way he hadn’t blinked an eye at Stannis saying he might still chop his hand off, it was just enough. Just enough that when Stannis imagined him kneeling in front of him, loose strands of hair falling into his eyes, the way he would look up at him when Stannis drew his sword, it stirred something in him. It drew thoughts from him that were not lordly. The symbology of the sword, Davos swearing his obedience. He tried not to think too much about it.
