Summary
Tim carved himself a place with the Wayne's. He bled for a chance to don a domino mask. He endured condescension, attempts on his life that were met with no reprimand, he even endured Robin - the one thing he had left - being taken and given to Damian. He went on a trip around the goddamn world just to find Bruce after he was lost in the timestream. He cried, fought, bled, underwent medical malpractice, and still found his adopted father. All to be met with no apologies for his eldest brother's threats of Arkahm, and a request for his emancipation so Bruce wouldn't have to run Wayne Enterprises.
Tim Drake-Wayne dropped the hypenation.
He was never a Wayne, and he finally realized it.

Jason knew and hated all that he'd done to Tim.
Tim was, by fucking fact, a competent, well trained, and insanely skilled vigilante that Jaosn had had the displeasure to try to murder.
Now they were road tripping to Minnesota of all places for a case Jason had to beg him to join in on, with an additional bribe of Pop-Tarts and the promise to but the entire Eastern Seaboard's supply of Zesti (specifically blue raspberry).
Totally not awkward at all, and it's totally not like Jason had had a slow-developing crush of Tim.
Business as usual.

"It won't hurt anymore," Tim said, and for a fleeting second, there was something in his eyes. A flicker of profound, unsettling certainty. "It won't hurt anyone. Ever again."

Halfway through his Thursday night routine, Jason got antsy.
The little bird hadn't come around.
The fuckhead had made it a habit to follow Jason around on Thursdays from the moment Bruce let him out of the Manor after the Tower incident. He even went through the trouble to get messages to Jason to tell him when he'd miss a day.
Which was the only reason Jason was bothered by the Pretender's absence. It was inconvenient for Jason to have arranged his schedule around the annoyance of having the kid follow him around only for the kid not to show up.
