“It’s already a fucking miracle you’re not in juvie while being charged with murder—” Izuku flinches “—you can’t afford to slip up.” Mr. Aizawa’s tone is harsh as they slow, his dark eyes resting heavily on him. “Do you understand?”
Izuku nods, whispering a small, “Sorry.”
Mr. Aizawa glares at him, tugging him along, like he doesn’t believe him. “Stop being sorry and just follow the rules.”
Izuku isn’t going to juvie. They said he’s different – doesn’t matter that he’s killed someone, the police is worried about a quirkless child being around other ‘troubled’ kids.
Now this Mr. Aizawa is stuck with him until his trial, and Izuku’s completely, a hundred percent certain that the man absolutely hates him.
Unbeknownst to them, someone is watching from the shadows...

Shouta knew he had to get this kid on his side. This boy is the key to escaping the place. He has access to the laboratory. If he could convince him, maybe he could find a way to help him out. “Midoriya.” He leaned forward, gently pressing his head against the glass separating them. “I need you to help me.”
The boy blinked up at him in confusion. “What? But we’ll both get in trouble. You’ll be more hurt than I would be!” He protested as if the grown man’s safety was more important than his.
“I’m a pro hero, kid,” Shouta quickly silenced him as he spoke. “It’s my job to help those in need. I can handle myself, but I’m not leaving you behind. You’re coming with me whether you like it or not. I will drag your ass if it comes to it.”
OR, After Shouta Aizawa rescues his student during a villain attack, he is captured and finds himself in a cell underground. Izuku Midoriya, a random kid he met, is the only one who can help him escape.

Izuku’s training kicked in; his body reacted faster than his mind did.
He raised the gun with narrowed eyes, ready to pull the trigger.But the stranger moved faster than Izuku ever did.
He slammed the freckled one into the wall. Izuku gasped as his arm was twisted behind his back, sharp pain lancing through his shoulder as he cried out. But the stranger wasn’t done yet; he rammed his knee into the back of Izuku’s thigh, pinning him against the wall roughly.
Izuku glanced behind his back as he gripped his gun tighter in his hands with gritted teeth-
But the stranger twisted his arm even harder- pain shot through Izuku’s body as he held back a scream- and dropped the gun in the process.
Izuku felt the hot breath behind his ear; the stranger’s voice was deep and full with uncontrolled anger. “Five years missing and this is how you greet me?”
The boy froze.“Try pulling that gun on me again, and I swear, I'll blow your damn arm off.”

The moment Izuku lets himself tip forwards over the edge of the building, the sharp wind rushing his face and curls catching in the force of falling, he knows he’d make a grave mistake.
I don’t want to die...
But he’s already made his decision; you can't come back from this. He stares wide-eyed as the ground gets closer and closer as the seconds tick on, eyes squeezing shut as he waits for impact. He awaits the consequences of his own stupid actions and then—
I don’t want to die.
—and then he opens his eyes and he’s stood peering over the edge of the building he’d just fallen from. Beside him, his shoes are tucked neatly on the ledge, backpack leaned on the ground beside them just as he’d left them. Izuku blinks owlishly, leaning forwards to stare ten stories down. Ten stories down where he’d just been a moment prior, only seconds away from hitting the ground.
He’s... back?
And that’s the first time Midoriya Izuku realizes that he does, in fact, have a Quirk.
