One problem, Derek isn't just Scotts older brother, he's also his arch nemesis. Stiles should go home, but he's young and turns out Derek isn't that bad of a guy. Besides they're just hanging out right. right?
Not so good at summaries. Derek and Scott hate each other. Stiles is loyal to Scott but always thought Derek was super hot. Derek never thought about Stiles as anything other than the sometimes funny annoying kid Scott keeps bringing home until suddenly he isn't. cue drama.

This is a road trip fic, so expect an abundance of platonic bed-sharing. Stiles and Derek spend two weeks on a mission during which the Sheriff definitely discovers his son isn't where he said he would be, the boys accidentally trip a magical bond, and Stiles obsesses about a certain shower. There is nothing new under the sun but especially not in this story.

Summary: Inspiration taken from Be My Baby by Edinburghgrl.
Surprisingly, it’s Derek who makes the offer. His parents had owned a small summer home in San Diego, one that was fully paid for and ready to be the new base of the Hale Pack. It all falls into a place a little to perfectly, but Stiles is so over fighting, clawing, and begging for an ounce of luck that he takes the grace with an exhausted smile. It almost feels underwhelming, that four years of death and magic and war, end up with him playing domestic in Derek’s family home, but it’s so normal and boring and exactly what he needs that Stiles can’t even be mad it.
