Childe and Zhongli’s friendship is unlikely, with one being an impulsive, confident, and adventurous billionaire who’s friends with virtually everyone and sought after by more, and the other a quiet, reserved, and introverted old soul who says “please” and “thank you” to leaves on the sidewalk. And yet, they get along with one another better than anyone else. They’ve been friends for years and found themselves in their own troublesome dilemmas at the same time.
Childe, a young CEO of the multi-billion dollar company “Fatui”, is dealing with more inappropriate gestures and remarks in regards to him being single than he cares for. When ranting to each other over drinks one night, they come to the most absurd solution to both of their problems: pose Zhongli as Childe’s boyfriend and sugar baby, just until everything settles, of course. Childe has more than enough money to spare, Zhongli doesn’t mind helping a friend in need, and their arrangement is flawless. At least, it appears to be that way.
