Summary
When Wolfwood runs into Vash, the blond politely grills him on what kind of food he likes best to narrow down their options for lunch. Wolfwood hyperventilates silently for a whole ass minute before Meryl stumbles upon their conversation.
“You’re trying to find a place downtown?” she asks. “What’s the occasion?”
“I owe Wolfwood lunch!” Vash explains. “Something nicer than spending an extra credit at the dining hall.”
Meryl glances at Wolfwood. She takes one look at his sweating, anxious expression and smirks. “Oh? Like a date?”

A modern college AU where Wolfwood realizes the only thing worse than getting off on the wrong foot with the cute blond upstairs is finding out he might actually have a crush on the cute blond upstairs.

Summary
Vash turns to Wolfwood and holds out a small jar neatly filled with geraniums. He crowds Wolfwood’s space, leaving him nowhere to go.
“W-What’s that for?”
“It’s for you!”
Wolfwood awkwardly takes it, if only because Vash keeps insisting. “I got those flowers for you. Uh, as payment,” he adds weakly.
“You brought back so many I don’t know where to put them all! Besides, they’ll look nice in your apartment. Flowers always brighten up a room.”
“I’m… not good at taking care of flowers, blondie.”
Vash smiles, his voice soft: “I think you’re very good at taking care of things that matter to you.”

Wolfwood asks Vash to help him locate his brother, but can’t find it in him to leave even after days, and months, have passed. A red string au with some florist tropes and a lot of gentle pining.

Summary
Vash scrolls through the search results and sure enough, he sees a confirmation email from the restaurant. However, just below that, he also sees:
Jeneora Jewelry - Order Confirmation for...
Wolfwood has been looking over his shoulder and sees it the moment Vash does. He slowly reaches for his phone, trying his best to feign a laugh.
"Oh! There it is!" he exaggerates, tapping on the restaurant's email to pull up the information. "Thanks, spikey."
Vash mumbles, "Uh huh," sinking into the sofa and grabbing the remote. He unmutes the TV, pretending to pick up where he'd left off.
He can hear Wolfwood typing on his phone, but doesn't risk looking at him.
An order confirmation... from a jewelry store.

Summary
“Say, Mr. Wolf.” Vash pulls a geranium from his coat pocket. “I’m looking for more of these, but I’m having a tough time getting around down here. Would you mind… giving me a lift?” He gently pats the upper part of the wolf’s ribs for emphasis.
“I bet I could find these a lot faster with a guide like you. And! If you help me, I’ll give you more food. What do you say?”
The wolf stares at him. Then, it shifts to look at the flower and brushes the petals with its snout. It takes a moment to look around before turning back to Vash. After a couple seconds, it hunkers down, as if giving Vash the go ahead to get on.
“Holy moley! I can’t believe that worked.”

Summary
Nicholas gently tugs Vash onto his lap, because sitting next to one another isn’t enough. Vash clings to him too - his touch soft and sweet, like the lollipops they often share, like the glances they steal before saying goodbye.
