Baby. In half a second, he is a teenager again, stomach fluttering and pulse racing and skin flushing. It’s such a small, silly thing, and he knows Buck is hammered, and likely has no idea what he just said—let alone the sentiment it carries.
But Eddie wants him to. He’s never been all that fond of pet names. He’s found himself cringing when girlfriends pull out ‘babe’ too fast. It always gave him this tight, suffocating sensation in his chest.
But one word off Buck’s lips and Eddie never wants to be called anything else.

Summary
All his life, Eddie never realized that there was an explanation to the way he felt about sex. He had no idea there was a word that encompassed all the feelings that had always been too big and overwhelming for him to name.
He’d always assumed it was just another thing that was wrong with him. His list of flaws and shortcomings had always been a long one, after all, so it was easy to believe this, too, stemmed from being fucked up and broken beyond repair.
