It wasn't known that Hatsume Mei was getting bullied by other students but for Midoriya Izuku, who had approached her and simply touched her shoulder with a gentle touch, he noticed the little flinches she would do and the side eye she would do when she thinks that he isn't paying attention.
But he is and he will find the bullies, even if he has to get Maijima-sensei and Aizawa-sensei to help him out.

Megumi was what any level-headed sorcerer would call a waste of potential. Because, really, the kid could be something bigger than life if he tried. But the only time Megumi truly applied himself was when he was trying to get bloodstains out of his sweater, when he was trying not to ask Tsumiki why she chose him, or when he was staring Gojo dead in the eyes the same night that the bastard came into his room without knocking, seeing him press a razor into his thigh with practiced sincerity. Yeah. Calling him a waste of potential was as gratifying as killing himself would be.
