M’gann had trouble remembering when was the last time she had a good day. She apologized, she wasn’t ready to really let go so she was left adrift. Without the purpose, but clinging to sharp edges like it was only thing she had.
But Team was there and Black Canary was there and uncle was there and they were helping. They didn’t pry her fingers off, but they held out their hands and when she was ready, she could reach out and let them fish her out of the pain she was drowning in.
It was getting better.
It was easy for something important to slip through the cracks.

It was Christmas lights, on building Cass personally saw destroyed in rogue attack.
It should be June.
She had to tell Bruce.
Searching through trash for newspaper not soaked to the point of illegibility was not most dignified way of finding out what date it was, but she needed to be efficient not dignified. She knew what Bruce’s rules were and if she appeared in public, as Batgirl, before it was her time or while Current Cass was doing something else in people’s eyes, she would break a lot of them.
She was half a year before Jason’s death.
She really needed to tell Bruce.
But before that, she decided to see how her family were doing in the past. Especially since it was Christmas.

Robin’s careless shrug belied what his smug little smirk could not: Danny had been pranked, and Robin totally thought this was funny. “Well, you know. A little birdie told me you weren’t the biggest fan of the holidays. Wanted to make sure you came.”
Danny opened his mouth to complain, or lecture, or just plain groan—he hadn’t decided yet—when suddenly a hand landed on his back and he was pressed into the shoulder of Miss Martian.
“Phantom!” She was grinning wildly when she pulled away from the hug, and a bit of her fiery red hair caught on her lipgloss. Danny stared at it, bluescreening, while M’gann went on talking. All frustration he felt fizzled and died. “I’m so glad you made it! Zatara, Artemis and I are making sugar cookies. Do you eat? Or, sorry, maybe that was insensitive. You can still help us frost them, if you don’t. The last batch just came out!”

Mr. Wayne's voice croaked, "Who are you?"
“Um…my name is Tim, sir. I'm the son of Jack and Janet Drake, I live next door."
Silence again. He looked to Alfred for instructions, but the butler wasn't helpful, too upset to do anything.
“You're new. You weren't there before."
Tim's eyes widened, “Mr. Wa… um, Batman, this isn't the first time you've experienced this day, is it?”
“How do you know?”
"How many times?" Tim asked instead of answering.
"This must be at least the 10th time."
So Tim wasn't the only one. Mr. Wayne was also stuck in the time loop.

Summary
Child neglect isn't all bad, Tim tells himself when his parents sends apologies and mail-delivered gifts and an increased credit line for his 10th birthday. None of the other ten-year-olds have this kind of independence -- even Robin has a bedtime. And he's heard from Ives that his parents limit his "screentime", which sounds quite barbaric. So this is fine, really. He's ten and will be starting eighth grade in the fall. He doesn't need his parents in order to thrive, he can grow on his own, in the shadow of their neglect and inattention. He can be their set-it-and-forget-it kid.

Tim is doing great being an independent vigilante, he's fine! He doesn't need help, he's definitely not estranged from the family -- he's just being independent.
Good thing he's part of a family of detectives who have their own ways of reaching out.
