Summary
An earthquake announced his arrival. The force Kars exerted when he collided with the ground shook everything for miles. Then, from the scorched earth, Kars' wings unfurled. His massive wingspan stretched out as he arched his back, presenting his smouldering body to the bright sunlight, and any potential onlookers.
"Bow before me," Kars announced, in his perfect, booming baritone voice, before even taking in his surroundings. "For I am Kars, the ultimate being, and your God—"
Kars casted his vicious, grinning gaze downwards, expecting to see the terrified faces of humans huddling together for safety. What he saw instead drove an icy spear directly through his heart. He lurched, feeling as though someone had punched him hard in the stomach.
The word escaped his mouth in such a pathetic way that Kars didn't even realize he had uttered it at first. It was as though the sound had merely tumbled from his lips.
"...Santviento?"
(After re-entering Earth's atmosphere, Kars crash lands on a planet he no longer recognizes, finds the last person he expects, and tries to adapt to an unfamiliar world.)
