Andre attempts a small laugh, but he gives himself away the moment he flicks his gaze back down at the bed. “No,” he says, petulantly. The way his voice comes out so high and offended makes him feel embarrassed through to his bones. Cal always takes the highest pleasure in seeing his facade crack.
“Yeah,” Cal says again, climbing closer still to Andre. They’re really close now, and Cal speaks softly, so Andre will look him in the eyes. “Yeah, you do, but you don’t want me to be your brother like he does.”

Glossy eyed, the brunette looked up, hooded eyes even more so due to the black eye Cal had given him. It wasn’t like Andre hadn’t given a fair fight, dried blood all over the blonde’s face as witness—it was just that Andre *wanted* it. Cal knew this from the very beginning, all that artificial dominance that seemed to come naturally from the outside was just waiting to be broken down by a softer, more tactful person.
Think a bigger boxer, throwing punches left and right while the smaller one dodges, the bigger one would get tired out and then it was his turn to strike.
