Summary
Vox had done it. A feat no sinner had been able to achieve: He became a God. Single-handedly, he climbed the stairway up to Heaven and freed the Winners from the tyranny of Abel and the Seraphim, and then established himself as the first free leader of Heaven.
"God is a lie created by those seeking power," Vox spat angrily. If only the crowd truly understood his evil.
Underneath the carefully woven narrative was a cold, unyielding truth: Vox hadn't done it alone. He hadn't saved Heaven either. No, he took control in a hostile display of power.
Velvette and Valentino were resigned to Hell, only receiving small gifts from Vox to placate them with promises that they would be allowed to Heaven soon, but those promises were never fulfilled, even after three months.
Alastor, still stuck by Vox's side, had gone completely M.I.A, and Angel Dust was resigned strictly to work.
And the Hotel? In shambles, as Charlie's group of ragtag survivors must brave the landscape of reality as the lines between Hell and Heaven begin to blend together.
Will Vox truly cement himself as the one and only true God? Or will Charlie be able to save Hell and Heaven from an event that would destroy the universe.

The shot rips a hole in the right side of Vox’s casing before exploding through the front of his screen, shattering a hole where one of his luminous eyes had just been. There’s a spray of glass that accompanies the deep whump of electronic implosion, white smoke sparking as it spits from the hole in his display.Alastor watches Vox’s glow flicker and extinguish as he collapses to the ground in a heap like a stringless marionette.

Vox was pretty much going for a celebratory fuck with Val to top off what has so far been the best day of his un-life, right in front of Alastor’s proverbial salad, mostly to rub in his old friend’s helplessness and discomfort. Alastor’s always been lame and weird about sex—the guy has no interest in it, and not even in a fun, dramatic way! He just thinks it’s boring and pointless and, as he once actually said, uncomfortably damp. So Vox isn’t under the impression that he could get Alastor to actually participate—

Charlie rubs her forehead, trying to clear her vision. Everything feels just a little soft, a little mushy round the edges. Vox has a slight frown, mouth in a thin line that says concern and her heart drops.

“Oh, no no no,” Vox lets out a chuckle, a fond eyeroll. Little lines appear around his eyes when he laughs, and Charlie finds herself quite captivated by his screen. She’s never been this close to it for this long.
