Summary
In a world where Rayla didn't leave Callum at the Moon Nexus, how will she cope with her self-imposed failure and guilt? Especially with a backdrop of uncertainty and fear. Because though a peace between east and west has been established, no one is quite sure what comes next. And it certainly doesn't help that her health seems to be failing, and her dreams are haunted by the man she can't be sure is dead.
Will Rayla learn to unlearn the bad habits being raised as an assassin taught her? Will Soren fulfill his duty and keep the king safe? Will Ezran learn how to care for an unstable nation while also caring for himself? Will Callum ever figure out how to not be an awkward dork?
As alliances are forged and broken, as the world's saviors look for what comes next, and as they are forced to navigate a new and often cruel world, they will come together to face it together. Regardless of origin, upbringing, or previous acts or allegiances, they have each other's backs.
