Ignoring the bruises and scrapes he had, Chris turned around and sprinted towards Leon, gritting his teeth against the strain moving put on his side. He may have busted a rib but he couldn’t care less right now, as the only thing running through his mind was Leon is alive Leon is alive Leon is alive–
As soon as he reached Leon he unceremoniously grabbed the other man into a hug, holding him against his chest as if only that somehow solidified the fact that he was right there, and he was in one piece. Leon huffed out a breathless laugh, and pressed his face into the other man’s neck. “It’s good to see you, too, Chris,” he said, something strained in his voice. “But ease up a little.”
Chris let go as if he’d been burned, his expression horrified as he quickly scanned Leon’s appearance from head to toe. “You alright? Where are you hurt?” His hands were hovering close to Leon’s shoulders, as if he really really wanted to touch but wasn’t sure where he was allowed to.

Henry pondered the question, a sense of calm audible in his voice when he answered.

Henry Creel was different from the ordinary townspeople in Hawkins in many ways but they shared one thing - they wanted the shadow monster gone. Eliminating that plague from their lives meant freedom to all of them. To Henry especially, freedom sounded like the most pleasant fantasy to dream of.
