“Is something the matter?” he asks, briefly glancing upward. Mabel’s eyes sparkle with mischief, and she flops over onto her side, dramatically bringing a hand to her forehead.
“I’m out of glitter glue, Grunkle Ford. How’s a girl supposed to get anything done around here without it?” She leans over the arm of the couch, twisting onto her stomach, peeking curiously at his writing. “What’re you doing?”
“A troubling predicament,” he says, smiling a little. He finishes off the sentence he was on. “Studying the manticore venom we found last week. You say you’re out entirely?”
Mabel nods, gravely. “And Grunkle Stan can’t drive me to the Shmichael’s over in Nedford because he’s got a tour going on and Dipper wouldn’t steal his keys with me because ‘neither of us know how to drive and also we’re thirteen’ which I think is so lame of him.”

Summary
Omega waits until Hunter is safely through the doorway before she rolls her eyes. She’s been with the Batch for months, has been involved in much more dangerous missions, and has even single-handedly gotten her brothers out of scrapes that they got themselves into. And yet, Hunter doesn’t trust that she can handle herself during a simple negotiation. It’s stupid. She’s not a tubie. In fact, she remembers when her brothers were in their tubes, when they were literally helpless.
She is so busy fuming over the absurdity of it all that she doesn’t notice the cloaked man until he is standing only a few meters away.
“You all by yourself, kid?” he asks her, voice low.

Summary
Echo's sudden decision to leave the Bad Batch has left Omega reeling. If one brother can abruptly decide to leave, who else can? What if all of them eventually choose other paths and Omega is left alone again? The image of the family she built up in her mind is fracturing, and Tech's seemingly flippant attitude about the entire thing might be the last straw.
A partial retelling of season 2 episode 9, "The Crossing" from Omega's point of view with a little extra discussion added in.

They say hair holds memories.
And Omega's has grown longer—six months threaded in the pale rivers of her locks, is not a little, after all.
Six months trapped in the roof of her mouth, events Hunter will never know about, because she doesn't talk to him about it. She barely talks to him anymore. She has grown, and he wasn't there to see it. Now her hair is crescent with nightmares she only shares with Crosshair.Which is why, the sergeant decides, he tries a different approach.
He brushes it.
Every morning and night, an instance of solemn silence. She sits down in front of him, and he combs through it with his brush. There is no exchange, no turning point, no undoing, but at least Hunter can help untangle the knots in her hair. Perhaps smoothen out the monsters brimming within them, even if he barely understands them himself. Even if he never will.

“Remind me of this fucking stellar experience next time we decide to trust Cid’s shit intel,” Echo’s out-of-breath voice came through Tech’s helmet comms.
Tech leaped over a downed droid, not dignifying Echo’s comment with a response. Another bolt hissed past Echo’s head, sparking another string of curses. In the heat of battle, Echo cursed worse than even Crosshair, something Hunter had been desperately trying to keep Omega from picking up on.
Another blaster bolt flew past Tech’s head. He glanced over his shoulder long enough to return fire, downing two battle droids with precise shots to their processing units.

A mission goes wrong, Omega paints the Batch's fingernails, and Echo opens up to Omega about his past. Featuring Mando'a and Huttese swearing and a very grouchy Crosshair! Fluff and trauma all around!

She’s okay. She’s free, escaped with Crosshair — Crosshair — from whatever facility they had been held in together. Hunter couldn't hear much since the signal wasn't too good but from whatever went through, he managed to piece together what he needed.
“Stay with the ship, Omega. You hear me?” He says urgently into the comm while Wrecker is putting the coordinates into the system. “Do not leave the crash site! We’re coming!”

Sure, the Kaminoens did, on a few occasions, carry her with the upmost reluctance. Usually, when too much time in the labs under experimentation had left her too weak to even stand. When it seemed like they had taken everything from her and left her meagre small body as the scraps.
But it was never like this. No one had ever just, held her, held her like She mattered, carried her as if she was something precious to them, cradled her against them like they truly cared for her, beyond what her body was capable of supplying to them.
