Bertolt had always felt self-conscious about his demeanor. It could be seen from miles away, in the way he held his stature, his tall figure bending, hoping to be forgotten.
As he laid back on the bed, the soft mattress enveloping him in a comfortable warmth, he felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. He trusted his other half completely, although he could never shake the sense of mystery and anticipation that followed whenever they were together.
“Comfortable?” Armin's gentle voice broke through Bertholt's thoughts.
“Yeah, I think so.” he replied, testing his bounds, sensing his heart beating a little faster at the sound of Armin's voice.
