"Oh Gem Gem!" Scar sing songs, as he phases through the door to her receiving room at the top of her tower, still in his Kitten form from court. "I've had the most wonderful, glorious, downright a-may-zin idea! We could do a spa day!"
"And what does a spa day with you involve?" Gem asks, raising a questioning eyebrow. She's learned that few things are what they seem, with the court's Vex.
"Oh you know, just a spa day! We do face scrubs, give each other massages, bathe in the blood of our enemies I spent all morning extracting and setting up in a tub, maybe do our nails, the usual!" Scar is nearly vibrating in excitement. "I have all the stuffs set up, you just need to say yes, please say yes to me Gem."

Summary
"Grian. Grian. Grian. We have to go." Scar demands. How dare Vex be making cookies without him!
"Have to go where, Scar? In case you hadn't noticed, the whole city saw Hotguy get these." Grian flicks Scar's fluffy feline ear. Scar baps Grian right back. Hotguy's tactics may not have been the most orthodox way of stopping Vex's machine, but they had worked! Mostly. Sort of. Enough!
"I can wear a hoodie come on we need to go now!" Springing out of Grian's lap, Scar hops up onto his newly toe-beaned feet, stretching himself out and admiring his brand new hidey-claws.
Bag, bag, bag- Why does all his stuff have his name on it, Scar can't work like this! He ends up with a generic reusable grocery bag, a replacement he hadn't yet remembered to label. Stuffing his rough idea of what he needs in there, pausing on the mask.
"No. Not there." Grian groans, seeing the Vex mask in Scar’s hand.

Summary
Focused as he is on Hotguy, Cub barely notices himself being backed into a corner. Cub’s powers mean that the world holds very few actual corners for him, but- A selfish urge, to have Hotguy’s hands on him, to be slammed against a wall- To make the whole thing real.
A miscalculation. Hotguy does lay hands on him, but not to throw.

Hotguy’s power suppression cuffs. Cub had forgotten them. Hotguy never uses them on Cub.
Hotguy looks almost as startled as Cub does by his own actions. By the cuff on Cub’s wrist, real and solid.
If Cub phases out now, everyone will know. Hotguy will know. For the sake of his powers ruse, Cub has to pretend his powers are properly suppressed by the cuffs.
In a snap decision Cub may never understand about himself, he snatches the other cuff out of Hotguy’s hand, slapping it closed around Hotguy’s wrist with a second decisive click.Or:

There's a ruckus at the spawn fort X built. Laughter and crying and howling waft over to Scar as he makes his landing with only three hearts lost.
Bounding up the steps to the sprawling world map in the middle of the fort, Scar can see why. The cause of the commotion is standing at its center. Mumbo, in a red button up shirt with Tango's too small for Mumbo vest over it, and a paper bag with Tango's face drawn on it on his head, uneven eye-holes and all.Or
