This world is cruel. The wonders that fill it are many, and the beauty of it is infinite, but that does not dismiss the fact that it is cruel.
Zenith has known this since she was young. Her early days were spent chasing glowing butterflies through forests of mushrooms and beyond. Childhood was disconnected from any danger- the forests were cleansed of violent creatures and heretics long ago.
Even with this peacefulness, she was not immune to the horrors. The grievance. When The Hunt began, no one was safe. Brothers would sell out their sisters in a hopes to last longer, only to be slaughtered on the same chopping block.
