Summary
Scanlan Shorthalt can't say he's a good man. He's tried to be better, but that takes time. Time that seems to have run out.
When the battle with Vecna ended with a victory, Scanlan assumed life would go back to some sort of normal, eventually. All hopes of that soon flew out the window when he discovers he was the only member of Vox Machina to survive.
Scanlan Shorthalt can't say he's a good man. He's tried to be better, but he sometimes slips. He's always been selfish, to a certain degree, and that shows now when he decides he won't accept this ending to Vox Machina's story.
He's the bard. He decides how this ends. And it won't end like this.

Summary
Mollymauk and Jester are the gems of the Mighty Nein. They both express themselves the most, both the most willing to speak to someone or run into some crazy situation with a half baked plan. They shine against the dreary and quiet sky that is their group. The Nein cherish both their gems dearly. They may not all like to admit it, even to themselves, but the two tieflings are very loved members of the Nein.
As the old men say: Absent makes the heart grow fonder. You don't realize what you've lost until you've lost it. The Nein don't know how hard the loss of their tieflings will hit them until their two gems suddenly disappear.

Summary
The Mighty Nein, most younger than they're meant to be, wake up scattered in different parts of Tal'Dorei and taken in by odd characters who call themselves part of a group named Vox Machina. They have no memories past their regressed ages, some in odd situations.
As the pieces of their team get brought together, they struggle to figure out why exactly they've been brought together and by whom. While that's happening, they slowly give in to the odd strings that apparently draw them to each other.

The Threads of Vox Machina: Through the Generations by UndertheBloodMoon
Fandom Critical Role (Web Series)
20 Oct 2019
Summary
It all started with Vox Machina.
The Raven Queen touched and watched as eight golden threads that couldn't seem further apart suddenly merge and blend with each other to form the heroes of Tal'Dorei we all know and love. She watches as it happens yet again with a different group of lost souls and curiously finds that this generation of heroes somehow finds themselves under the care of an aged Vox Machina, at least for a short period of time.
After seeking out the one who'd placed the baby band of heroes, or the Mighty Nein as they soon began to call themselves, with the original saviors of Tal'Dorei, the Raven Queen herself asks the strange individual to help the next group of threads that find themselves tangled in her tapestry of fate find each other just as the previous ones had.
Now, the legacy of Vox Machina, and all the other heroes that came after them, spread further than their bloodlines as new generations of heroes are brought together again and again.

Summary
Caleb Widogast did not harm himself.
He was a smart man, an intelligent wizard, if he is to say so himself. His knowledge may have come at a great cost, it is in fact, what urges him to torture himself, day in day out.
It was an art, really.
Caleb Widogast did not harm himself.
He tortured himself.
