Lan Xichen smiles a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. "I thought there might be. Why else would you suddenly break off our engagement?"
It was an old agreement between Yunmeng Jiang and Gusu Lan. Jiang Cheng thinks it's silly to see it through, especially when Lan Xichen could do so much better.
