Summary
It's been 3 years since the goddess of sun and sunflowers, farming and agriculture, civilization and prosperity has stopped answering prayers and all her assistant can do is make sure the sun rises each day. The goddess has gone missing and her assistant and her brother are looking for her. Famine spreads as crops fail to grow as they should, being ready for harvest at seemingly random times and sometimes never growing at all
In the small town of Sunnyside Cliffs, a noble family gets attacked and killed by werewolves. Their youngest daughter sets out to make sure that something like this never happens again.
But something's wrong, and as to young Pearl S. C. N. T. Moon fights through the horrors of Oakhurst, she's about to learn that there are secrets she's been keeping from everyone, including herself
With gods and magic behind every corner, the people of Oakhurst are in for a wild ride. And everything Pearl thought she knew will be flipped on her head as she starts to dream of sunlit fields and a very cryptic stranger who insists on teaching her about how to grow sunflowers

What is a monster?
Avid didn't know who he was. They tell him he believed in vampires, would shout it from the rooftops when he could, but he doesn't remember that. He can't remember anything, and this person they're describing, he isn't sure he likes it. Still, with chronic pain from a wound in his neck and the growing threat of vampires - who are apparently real, by the way - he'll need to figure out where he stands, so that maybe, hopefully, he can make it out of this alive.

Scott begins to take notes on what he (consciously) changes to do his best to predict how what will happen will change. Will he be able to keep up the act when he meets the town, or will he contradict himself with all his lies?
