Dodger gritted his teeth, white-knuckling the radio, pressing the corner of it against his lip as the obnoxious braying grated his ears and patience alike. He knew that he shouldn't go alone, but Smithy being the one to accompany him seemed worse than getting a bollocking from Singh about it. He thought about making him go in his place, exerting what little authority he had by using his higher position over him.
Then there would be jokes about how he wasn't "man enough" to handle it. How he was a coward.

Dodger kept struggling, but Will was stronger than him. He always had been, even when they were kids. He used to always get the upper hand when they would wrestle; it was the one thing Dodger never had to let him win at, and he never minded because of the way his little brother's face would light up with triumph and pride when Dodger would pretend to beg for mercy.
