Summary
When Caitlyn Kiramman saved the life of a Zaunite girl, she never expected to see her again. Their lives had never meant to collide to begin with, and yet they had. As fragile peace between their two cities erupts into outright war, the memory of the girl she saved fades, distorted by time but never forgotten.

Summary
Caitlyn Kiramman joined the Alliance in the hopes that she could put her excellent rifle skills to good use saving the galaxy from the reapers. She was furious when her politician mother used her overreaching influence to land her a safe and easy post back home at the very colony she was trying so desperately to escape. But when Piltover is suddenly attacked, it seems clear to Caitlyn that the reapers are involved. And – even worse – that they have someone colluding with them from within the colony’s very borders. To stop them, Caitlyn will have to put her trust in the most unlikely of places, and only hope it will be enough to face what lies ahead.
Vi has spent the last seven years trapped in Stillwater Prison, her biotic abilities shackled and her strength used only for punching dents in the walls of her cell and ripping chunks of eezo from the mines in the work camp below. But when an enforcer shows up asking for help finding someone who sounds a hell of a lot like Vi’s little sister, there’s nothing she won’t do for the chance to make things right. Even if it means working with someone she thought was her adversary, and standing up against an enemy that threatens to be the end of everything she's ever known.

Caitlyn’s hands were rough, her body pressing into Vi’s like she needed to erase the memory of someone else looking at her partner. Their shirts came off, Vi pulled Caitlyn down with her, arms around her.
Then Caitlyn pulled back just slightly, her forehead resting against Vi’s, breath still shallow. Torn between their warmth and the need to make sense of today’s chaos, she couldn’t shut off, and then the thought slipped out.
“There’s something off about this case,” Caitlyn murmured. “The ledgers don’t line up —”
Vi blinked, startled at the sudden transition. “Wait, what?”
