Summary
After getting dumped by Zack, Aerith is moving on with her life. Doing her own thing, enjoying the life of being single. One day, she receives a text from Tifa's friend, Cloud. And what blossoms is a friendship, then a relationship. Despite the distance, they make it work. All seems well.
Then, out of nowhere, Aerith starts receiving strange comments and DMs, a majority from people she doesn't know. Telling her she and Zack were cuter together, that Cloud doesn't suit her, saying they miss Zack.
If only that was the tip of the iceberg.

Aerith didn’t remember her mother. She didn’t know her name or anything about her besides the fact that she had abandoned her as a child. Or, at least, Veld said so. Some nights she would dream of a warm presence and a kind, if tired, smile, but she never lingered on it. She didn’t think of her mother often. Sephiroth didn’t either, after all. It wasn’t like wondering about missing parents ever worked with Shinra employees.
