Summary
Vi's such an idiot. She is well aware of the fact that Caitlyn is a no strings attached kind of girl. Caitlyn doesn't have time for relationships and has no desire to be in one. Despite this, Vi somehow still thought it was a good idea to jump into bed with her even though Vi's had the biggest crush on Caitlyn for months.
In a rather hopeless attempt to move on, Vi goes to a Halloween party with one of her classmates. There shouldn't be any issues. After all, her relationship with Caitlyn is just casual.

“Violet,” Caitlyn calls, trying again for her attention.
Violet grunts and lazily turns her head to face Cait, her cheek resting against the pillow. She opens her mouth to speak but seems to notice the stuffed rabbit for the first time and her teeth clack as her mouth snaps shut. She shifts to nuzzle against it. Then softly, “Vi,” she says.
“What?”
“My name. It’s Vi,” she clarifies and Caitlyn decides she quite likes it. It suits her.
“Okay. I’m going to call the nurses here now,” Caitlyn says and reaches for her own call button. “Vi?”
“Hmm?”
“I’m glad you’re okay.”

“I can come with you to the concert if you’d like, Takina!” Erika had offered sweetly. “I know this music isn’t very enjoyable for you, so maybe having a friend there would help?”
“If you were there, I would be too tempted to speak with you instead of listening to the performance,” Takina had replied in her cold manner. “Thank you, but I should go alone.”
Takina shook her head at the memory, her attention turning back to the clamoring knots of sound upon the stage again. No matter how much she tried, she couldn’t make any sense of it. She wasn’t sure how she was going to get through an hour of this all alone.
It's only for one night, she reasoned with herself, then I'll be free.
