Summary
"I think... I think they're all wrong. I think Merlin-- uh, wizard-Merlin was Arthur's advisor, sure, but... they must have been friends, too. I mean, Merlin would need to actually like Arthur to stick around a bunch of meathead knights, shitty love triangles, and deadly quests. More than just believing in the king, they’d need to be friends. So, yeah. I think they probably got on.”
--
The new year has just rolled over into 1985 and closet-Arthurian-legend-nerd Steve Harrington is already so overwhelmed by the new gaggle of children hanging off of him and wheedling him into being their personal chauffeur that he’s entirely unprepared for the chaos the new student would bring into his life.
Merlin just wants to know why this guy feels so familiar. And why his magic drew him to Hawkins, Indiana of all places.

He smiles after her and turns back to the group, clapping his hands together, "So! questions?" he asks, already seeing the unmasked confusion in many faces.
"Where-"
"WHO?"
"How-"
"Related??"
"Scary."
"Goth-"The voices overlap and Steve sits down on the floor by the girls who glare at the boys, waiting for them to shut up and speak one at a time, eventually they stop and Mike finally speaks,
"I'm sorry but HOW is that girl your cousin?"

Summary
In the spring of 1983, Steve Harrington starts seeing and hearing things he shouldn’t.
A nail-studded bat and flashing lights. Children’s high, bickering voices. Lapping blue water, chlorine, and guilt. Moments from a life he hasn’t lived crash into him without warning, vivid enough to leave him shaking.
Steve might be losing his mind, but he's certain of one thing: Barbara Holland is going to die. Before the year is out, someone – or something – is going to murder her. So he does the only logical thing – he attempts to befriend her. It's easier to save someone if you're standing next to them, right?
Setting out to save Barb is supposed to make things make sense.
Instead, it causes Steve to question everything he thought he knew. The visions keep coming. And the more Steve tries to fix things, the more uncertain the world around him becomes. Especially when it comes to Eddie Munson – someone Steve can’t quite explain. Someone who feels different than he should, heavier somehow, as if the future itself is pulling Steve toward him. A gravity Steve is certain wasn't there before.

“Fighter, this is Bard. Do you copy? Over.”
“Fighter here. I copy. Over.”
No names or locations or specifics here.
“Alright, Fighter, what’s this about? Over.”
Steve sighs. This is stupid.

Or: the one where strange things start happening in Hawkins three years after the Upside Down was destroyed and Steve and the teens just need to make sure it isn’t all happening again.
Spoiler alert: nothing is as it seems.
I just couldn’t get the idea of Steve staying in Hawkins as a watcher in case shit goes down again out of my head. So here we are. Because when you get used to shit coming back again and again and again, what else are you supposed to expect?

Summary
Steven Harrington was 3 years old when he saw Dr. Brenner for the first time, he was 12 when he saw him last.
Steve had known about Eddie Munson since he started High School, did he know Eddie? Well, of course not. But the big hair and even bigger attitude are hard to miss.
He has always wondered what it must be like to be like Eddie, not different, not a freak -because he was those things too- but what it must be like to be shamelessly different, to proudly be a freak.
After getting his ass beat by Jonathan, he had finally decided he didn’t want to wonder anymore, he wanted to know.Bookmarked by Tray1030
