Summary
Izuku cannot escape from these terrifying nightmares. Every time he closes his eyes to sleep, Katsuki’s cold, lifeless body appears before him. It also doesn’t help that each morning, he feels his power slowly fading away, like sand slipping through his fingers. And for the first time in his life, he truly feels lost.
Cigarettes come to him on a sleepless night after leaving U.A. After relentless battles that leave him hungry and exhausted, the ember of the cigarette is his only light in the endless rain over Japan. It serves as a temporary remedy, a small pleasure that distracts him from the burdens weighing on his shoulders.
Izuku thought he would quit this habit once the war ended, but he was wrong. After everything comes to a close, the pain seems to only multiply. Only when the taste of ash fills his lungs does he feel a little more awake.
Of course, he must keep this secret from everyone, especially Katsuki.

"What the fuck are you two talking about? The damn nerd is standing right beside you!"During a battle, Midoriya gets hit by a villain whose quirk detaches his soul from his body. Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in this state is no one other than Kacchan.

Katsuki Bakugou, dead on the battlefield for five minutes, just a couple of weeks after his 17th birthday.
The war is over but that does not mean the battles our heroes face are over. Healing as a society is hard enough, but trying to heal your own wounds often opens new ones.

Aziraphale closed his eyes and concentrated on sending as much holy energy into Crowley's body as he could without hurting the demon further.
“You called.”, he mumbled after a few moments of silence, but Crowley was already gone when he let his eyes roam back down to the other. “Of course I did.”

Crowley gets stabbed with a holy blade while Aziraphale is sorting business out in Heaven and when he realizes he probably won’t make it, he prays to see his angel at least once more before he dies.
Aziraphale, upon finding Crowley in a puddle of his own blood, decided to show Heaven the metaphorical middle finger and take all of his vacation days at once to nurse the demon back to health and maybe figure out what he really wants on the way.- Language:

Summary
There are a lot of downsides to being a snake, the rather uncomfortable, painful, and distressing process of shedding skin is one of them. Crowley tries to deal with it on his own just as he had been doing for the past six millennia, but unlike the last thousands of years, he is not alone anymore, and Aziraphale isn't going to let Crowley struggle through anything on his own. When he eventually escapes back to Earth – where he belongs – Aziraphale and Crowley have a lot to work through, even after averting the Second Coming, a renewed attempt at taking away all they hold dear. They need to be gentle with each other’s fragile, fractured hearts and together, figure out how to love one another the way they’ve long wished to.
