Summary
When Y/N Witwicky watches her younger brother come home with his first car, little does she know her life is about to change forever. She watches fantasy become reality when helping him track down his stolen car turns into discovering aliens are real and finding out her family is vital to their cause.
Her life shifts on it's axis even further when she's introduced to Autobot Jazz. Feeling like she's connected with someone for the first time in a while, even if that someone happens to be an alien robot, she throws herself into the fray. Overnight she becomes entrenched in the Autobot cause, learning on the fly and fighting to win a war not for herself, but for the people she's grown to care the most about.

He used to live deep in them; a relatively small mining town, home to a couple hundred people. He doesn’t anymore. Nobody does. Save one or two the entire town’s population was wiped out over the course of a few weeks. The deeper the mine got, the worse it became. Until there was no town, only empty buildings.

Summary
The magazines are clustered together, hoping to catch somebody’s eye with their loud headlines and deliberately-misinterpreted news stories. But it’s not the pointy graphics or the neon colors that make Apollo suck in a breath—no, it’s the photograph, plastered across at least three separate publications, showing him and Klavier sitting across a table from each other, staring into each others’ eyes, looking for all the world as though they're on a date.
After a photo of Klavier and Apollo sharing dinner winds up as front-page news, the whole world obviously assumes they're dating. Correcting them seems like it wouldn't be a big deal, except that for the first time since the breakup of the Gavinners, people are paying attention to Klavier's music, and Apollo feels like he's gotta at least do something nice for the guy after he kind of indirectly ruined his life, right?
Anyway, it's not like he's going to do anything as cliché as falling for him for real.

Goldie O’Gilt fell in love at first sight at the huge golden nugget the size of an egg when she first laid eyes on it. Later it turned out that the duck that came attached to it was worth the effort too. The real surprise, the irony and twist of fate was the fact that by smashing these two frozen gold-digging hearts together, you ended up knocking forwards something good, something so pure that neither party ever expected to find it in themselves.

For a brief moment you felt gravity pulling you towards the earth. But before you could savor this feeling long enough, something grabbed you in free fall and swung you up. The next moment you felt solid ground under your feet. Your legs immediately buckled when you touched it. You gasped, shaking and in disbelief. Your gaze wandered up to the duck that had saved you in a suicidal stunt as if it were his daily bread.
