“Oh, good guess,” Gwaine teases, his hand straying up Merlin’s neck to ruffle his hair.
“Gods, it’s so fucking early,” Merlin complains, shifting into a sitting position with his elbows on his knees and his face in his hands.
“I know, love.” Gwaine's voice is quiet and buttery with an authentic sympathy. He never just pays lip service to Merlin’s feelings. “I’m glad Arthur decided to let you come.” -
