'“Would you join me tonight Olly? I doubt you’ve had the chance to eat since this morning.” Qifrey raised an eyebrow at Olruggio, in one hand, a large plate with what seemed to be left overs and other snacks, and the other, a bottle carved out of honey tree wood, two metal cups stacked over the neck of the bottle. He smiled as Olruggio jumped back, startled out the witch out of his trance and back into the normal time flow, huffing as he somewhat laid back on the sofa.
Olruggio shuffled to make space on the sofa for his fellow witch, he patted at the space to the right of him, “ ‘Course, not like I’d say no.”'
Two witches, bound by fate, drink their sorrows away by the dying fire light, enshrouded by night. By the scant rays of dawn, mistakes and milestones are forged and rewritten.

Summary
Qifrey knows better than to pretend no feelings exist between himself and Olruggio, but to accept them is another matter entirely. With his heart in his throat, Qifrey has done away with every confession Olly’s offered, meticulously intermixing them with his secret and erasing everything over and over. But then, of course, he’s bound to make mistakes sometimes—and should Qifrey find himself suddenly stuck, the consequences may just be enough to ruin him.
