Summary
naruto uzumaki is a lonely child, this was always the case when he entered the ninja academy where he met sasuke, a talented and sullen boy who somehow ended up becoming the most important person for naruto.
Both young people strive to remain firm in their goals and in their connection despite the countless difficulties that always try to knock them down over the years, with the certainty that they will always be able to have each other, as friends, rivals, family and perhaps anything else.

Summary
Only thirteen, and already they had known what it meant to be utterly alone - to have no one to talk to, to guide them, to hold them and promise everything would be okay. Just a pair of orphans, failed by the world - by their own village.
But when they met each other, the weight of those injustices felt easier to bear. The thought "He's just like me," a comfort.
So, when Sasuke's cruelly tried to sever that bond, to plunge them both back into that pit of loneliness - Naruto wouldn't have it.
His long, sharp nails sliced into Sasuke's ankle, refusing to let the other boy walk away after their fight. "Then you have to take me with you," he said from where he laid, exhausted on the bedrock.
Absurd."I won't let you leave here without me."
Four years have passed, and Sasuke can still see the small, silvery scars those nails left behind. Naruto sees them too when he lifts the hem of Sasuke's Akatsuki cloak to kiss them.
(Canon divergence: Naruto left with Sasuke after their fight at the Valley of the End. They train under Orochimaru before joining the akatsuki in an attempt to get closer to itachi, in preparation for Sasuke to one day kill his older brother. Both boys aged up to 17.)

Summary
Small segments of Naruto and Sasuke's relationship throughout the years, where Sasuke can't say 'no' to Naruto and doesn't know why. All he knows is Naruto's eyes are really pretty and he smells really good.
Naruto, on the other hand, quickly caught on and used it to his advantage. What started out as a game couldn't possibly become more, right? Even if being around Sasuke makes him feel nice, and he sometimes steals Sasuke's clothes.
Or, 5 times Sasuke gives in to Naruto and one time he figures out why.
